Pastor. Michael T. Walker

Greater New Life Ministries




….is the fifth of six children, born to the late Bobby Gene Walker and Ms. Willie Mae Walker. Rev. Walker’s mother and grandmother, Ms. Mary Grace Stalls, like Timothy’s mother and grandmother, Lois and Eunice, believed and practiced the instructions in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” They took him to church as a small child and kept him there until he grew into a young man. Having been brought up in the church, Pastor Walker developed a strong faith in the Lord. Thus, in November 1992, he was obedient to God’s call for his life in the ministry.
Pastor Michael T. Walker was licensed on January 24, 1993, at Shiloh Baptist Church, McDonough, Georgia. Under the leadership of Rev. E.W. Lee, and ordained, July 19, 1998 at First Baptist Church, Atlanta Georgia under the leadership of Rev. E.J. Jester. Pastor Walker is also a product of Dr. R.L. White Jr. pastor of The Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church Atlanta Georgia.
Pastor Michael T. Walker is a graduate of The Philadelphia Training Career Institute and he has received additional training in several areas of Ministerial Leadership Classes. He has comprehensively studied the Old Testament, Minor and Major Prophets, Biblical History, and a Biblical Study of The book of Revelations and Greek.
In November of 2003, Pastor Walker was call to pastor The Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Atlanta GA. For six (6) years Mt. Gilead grew greatly. On January 9, 2010 Pastor Michael T. Walker resign from Mt. Gilead as pastor, to follow the voice of God. Within his spirit, Pastor Walker knew that God had given him a vision, and thus on January 12, 2010 “The Greater New Life Ministries” was organized. After only three (3) years as a church, “The Greater New Life” members alone with their family members and friends were able to march into their own 5000 sq. ft. sanctuary (DEBT FREE). Greater New Life has been a blessing to the Bankhead Community, and the surrounding areas. With a bible base ministry, Pastor Walker has been able to lead countless people to Christ, and the ministry continues to grow.

Pastor Walker has served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Youth Minister. In addition, he has served as an Associate Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in McDonough Georgia, First Baptist Church in Atlanta Georgia, and Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church in Atlanta Georgia. As a result of this service, he became equipped with proficient skills in developing excellent relationships as a leader and a team member. He also has the ability to communicate with all people, regardless of age, profession, or faith. Pastor Walker has been instrumental in teaching, licensing, and ordaining deacons, deaconess and ministers.

Pastor Walker is a member of The Mt. Calvary Association and has severed as the 2nd vice Moderator, A member of The Atlanta School Board Counsel, Sr. Chaplain for Hines Home of Funeral Services, The Host of “The Pastor’s Hour”, The Co-Host of “Issues and Answer”, a member of Men on a Mission, and served as a Chaplain for DeKalb County Police Department. Pastor Walker is also the proud owner of M&M General Contractors, Classics Customs Automotive and Kaymo Furniture Company (KFC).

Pastor Michael T. Walker also has two beautiful daughters, who are the apple of his eye Ms. Michaela Jakia, and Ms. Morgan Aleia.

Pastor Walker’s life is guided by his favorite scripture,

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”


Pastor Willie C. Williams

Greater Leavy Missionary Baptist Church

……gave his life to Christ in 1975 while serving his country in the United States Navy on the Philippine Islands. After fulfilling his commitment to the US Navy, Pastor Williams returned to his home in Atlanta Ga and became a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend William Woodson Morris Sr. Pastor Williams received his call to the ministry under the stewardship of Rev. W.W. Morris, Sr.; where he was licensed to preach in 1976 and ordained in 1977.

A life-long learner, Pastor Williams attended Carver Bible College where he earned is Associate of Arts degree in Bible in 1991.
After graduating, Pastor began leading in-home bible studies and subsequently founded the Word of God Missionary Baptist Church in 19??. After serving several years at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Pastor Williams was call to Greater Leavy Missionary Baptist Church in 2000. Once there, Pastor Williams assisted the church’s founding Pastor Reverend Paul Cainion, until his home going in 2002. After the death of Pastor Cainion, the congregation met and voted to elect the Associate Pastor, Reverend Willie C. Williams as the Church’s second Pastor. He was installed in September 2002.
Under the leadership of Pastor W.C. Williams, the Church building and membership has continued to grow and improve. Pastor Williams oversaw the completion of Rev. Cainion’s vision, which included new pews, stained glass windows, baptismal pool, new classrooms and staff offices. The newly renovated Church was dedicated to the LORD on August 29, 2004. Today Greater Leavy has several hundred members, some of which are the pioneering worshipers. With the LORD’s blessing, the Church’s ministries, auxiliaries, choirs and fellowships continue to grow and prosper with participation and faithful membership.

Pastor Darrell L. Edwards

Greater New Hope Baptist

.….is an anointed biblical educator, a powerful preacher, and an outstanding man of God. More importantly, Rev. Edwards has a very intense faith in God.  He recognized the calling on his life at an early age.  When he was called out of a world of sin, it was a calling that was taken very seriously..

He has had a faithful walk with the Lord for over twenty-five years.  He answered the calling of God to preach the Word in 1991 and has been diligent in preaching, teaching, and demonstrating the gospel ever since.  He has been a licensed Minister in the state of Georgia since November 1996 and received his ordination in August of 2000.
In addition to being appreciative of the favor of God upon his life to serve, teach and preach to the people of God, he is never amazed of his blessings from God in the form of his lovely wife, Sis. Wakeshi Edwards, their wonderful children and grandchildren.
Rev. Edwards currently serves as the Pastor of the Greater New Hope Baptist Church (GNHBC) where exhibiting the vision that God showed him since 2007.  He is an astounding Leader and Advisor to the men, women, young adult and youth in the English Avenue community.
Pastor Edwards takes all of his experiences and accomplishments to heart and with honor for he lives by this scripture “For I am the least of the men of God, that I am not meet to be called an apostle, because I lived a sinful life.  But by the grace of God, I am what I am and his grace that was bestowed upon me was not in vain.”  1 Corinthian 15: 9-10

A Great Vision was given to Michael T Walker, Pastor of Greater New Life Ministries, to unite the bankhead community with a Great Revival. The flame grew as he sat in the peers of Greater Levay Missionary Baptist Church and witness the same flame of ambition inside of the revival sermon of Pastor W.C. Williams.

Pastor Walker shared his vision of The Great Revival with Pastor Edwards and Pastor Williams. This started a passionate discussion and a powerful excitement overcame the trio. They agreed to meet one another for lunch and have a serious discussion about the Great Revival.

On Nov 9,2017, They again met for a discussion about The Great Revival. As they ate a great lunch they spoke of the Great importance of the Great Revival among their Great Churches and the Great benefit this great event will bring to its community.

They agreed to put there best efforts forth to make the Great Revival a reality. Afterwards they had the great debate of who would pay the bill for the great Meal they had just consumed. A debate that ended up being won by, Pastor Williams. After the meeting the pastor used social media as a platform to build and communicate and build a program. A great program that will welcome all to The Great Revival
